Dermaroller Treatment

Dermaroller is a treatment that stimulates the skin to produce more collagen leaving skin looking smoother and brighter.

What is a Dermaroller Treatment?

Dermaroller is a collagen induction treatment, designed to regenerate new skin cells. Its advanced microneedling effect is designed to stimulate the skin and encourage it to repair and regenerate itself naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier looking skin. It can significantly improve many different skin problems over a course of treatment.

What can be treated with a Dermaroller?

This treatment can improve:

  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scarring
  • Aged and sun damaged skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Lines and Texture to the Decollete
  • Stretch marks

What does the treatment involve?

To start the treatment we use a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin making it more comfortable when we carry out the procedure.

The Dermaroller will then be rolled over your skin and penetrate into the dermis. It is designed to produce thousands of micro medical needle columns which are all 0.1mm in width into the skin. This then stimulates the skin to repair itself and regenerate new cells below the surface. This process takes 6 weeks as the collagen works its way to the surface and a visible sign of repair and regeneration will then be noticed in the skin.

How long does the treatment take?

The topical anaesthetic takes 30 minutes to work and the procedure then takes 20-30 minutes.

How long will the effects last?

The results from Dermaroller can be permanent as it is designed to repair the skin so it shouldn’t revert back to how it was. This doesn’t mean that new lines and wrinkles can’t appear so maintenance treatments and a good skin care regime is recommended between and after treatments.
