US reality TV star Brandi Glanville exposes skin treatment on Twitter
Like the reality stars here in the UK, those across the pond in the States suffer a similar amount of scrutiny over their actions and their appearance.
The stars of hit show ‘The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills’ are currently hot property and so are never too far from a tabloid spread or expose. In response, some, like outspoken Brandi Glanville, choose to tell the truth (or at least their own version of it) before the media get a chance to reveal any secrets or unflattering photos of them. Her latest declaration was via Twitter and included publishing a photograph of herself looking make-up free and with a shiny and red complexion.
This is symptomatic of a laser or a chemical peel which is often used to counteract the signs of ageing. However according to Glanville she had other reasons for undertaking the treatment. She posted the photo with this comment:
“Doctor said he could get rid of my melasma. It was to [sic] hard for my skin. Still healing, it’s been depressing #skinobsessed.”
Chemical peels work by applying a solution to the surface of the skin which removes the top layer of dead skin cells. This regenerates the skin’s surface and as a result can help with a number of complaints including skin discolouration, acne and acne scarring, pigmentation (which Glanville is referring to) and fine lines caused by ageing.
