eTwo – skin tightening without a scalpel in sight!

eTwo Skin Tightening - facial rejuvenation with no scalpel in sight!Hear ‘skin tightening’ – think wind tunnel?

Luckily, the world of aesthetics has moved on a lot in recent years.

Where the eighties were a boon for big hair and the slice ‘n’ stretch approach to facial rejuvenation, now it’s all about less is more.

And with an avalanche of new non-surgical treatments, there’s now far more choice if you’re looking for a subtle refresh.

One of the new breed of treatments is eTwo Skin Tightening, which we introduced to Aurora last year.

What does eTwo Skin Tightening do?

eTwo Skin TighteningLet’s start by saying what it won’t do. It won’t make your skin look stretched. Youthful skin is taut, not stretched.

eTwo helps improve the appearance of wrinkles, diminish scars, reduce pores and tighten your skin.

How does eTwo work?

It uses pulses of radiofrequency and light energy to target problem areas.

There’s two techniques that can be used together or in isolation – Sublative Rejuvenation and Sublime Skin Contouring.

> Sublative Rejuvenation uses only radiofrequency energy. It’s targeted at the surface and just under the surface of your skin, to improve texture and tone.

> Sublime Skin Contouring uses light and radiofrequency. Together they heat the deeper layers of your skin, tightening collagen fibres and stimulating fibroblasts to make new collagen.

Where can eTwo be used?

It’s safe to use on all areas of the face, including the delicate eye area, as well as the body – hands, décolletage, etc.

Does it hurt?

You will be numbed beforehand with a topical cream, but if you’re having Sublime treatment your skin will feel quite hot. As long as you keep repeating the mantra ‘no pain, no gain’ under your breath, you’ll be fine!

How many treatments will I need?

For best results, you’re recommended to have a course of 3 treatments at monthly intervals.

What can I expect after treatment?

You will be red and hot afterwards, which can last for 1-2 days. You can use ice packs, and paracetamol if needed, to make yourself more comfortable.

The most important thing is to use sun screen after treatment, and apply a good moisturiser 2-3 times a day. Down time will last a maximum of a few days.

When will I see results?

New collagen takes 4-6 weeks to be made, so this is the time frame to see an improvement.
