Ruth is a qualified RGN and an Independent Nurse Prescriber who started her nursing career at Leeds General Infirmary in 1981, specialising in surgery, burns and plastic surgery. From there Ruth went on to develop a career in Aviation Medicine, working as a trainer on private and commercial aviation courses.

Over her 20 year career, Ruth has taught defibrillation, BLS and first aid both privately and for the European Resuscitation Council, and is still active with this training to date.

An interest in aesthetics led Ruth to become an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, specialising in Botox treatments, dermal fillers, dermaroller, microdermabrasion, chemical skin peels and skin assessments. Ruth works from our Buckinghamshire clinic, and also works as a trainer for our sister company, Cosmetic Courses.

Ruth is a full member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Interesting fact about Ruth Atkins:

At the tender age of 13, Ruth became the proud owner of a Blue Peter badge, awarded for ringing her first 3-hour peal at St Giles Church, Pontefract.

“Wonderful service carried out by professional and friendly staff. Ruth is amazing and I would not trust anyone else with my treatments.”
