Fashion Week in the capital creates influx of skin treatments

Botox anti-wrinkle treatmentLondon Fashion Week, which is being hosted this week, sees the appearance-consumed fashion elite congregate in our capital, combining the viewings of new collections whilst boasting their own fashion credentials. Though models are always under pressure to look their best, LFW is a time for fashion editors themselves to go on display and use it to compete for industry approval and admiration.

As a result London clinics have seen an upsurge in recent weeks for cosmetic procedures that offer a ‘quick-fix’ to improve the face’s appearance and that help create a more youthful complexion. Treatments to help eradicate lines, such as Botox and dermal fillers, are popular as too have been chemical peels, which regenerate the skin’s surface giving it a healthy sheen.

As a fashion editor of some of the top women’s magazines, and that will be photographed on the front row, there is a pressure not just to look their most stylish but to be at their photographic best. With the spotlight turned on them it is easy to see why they might want to undertake procedures that will help them to be at their most camera-ready.
