Celebrity dermatologist Arnie Klein in trouble once again

Celebrity skin care is a lucrative businessMichael Jackson’s ex-dermatologist has once again come under fire for alleged malpractice, with the FDA swooping in on suspected illicit Botox treatment within medical centres across the breadth of the United States.

Dr Arnie Klein, who was responsible for the administration of the King of Pop’s skin treatments until his untimely death, is amongst those being investigated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for receiving unapproved medicines from foreign pharmaceutical company Canada Drugs.

Amongst those substances in question is the anti-wrinkle injectible, Botox. His clinic is allegedly one of the 350 being investigated country-wide.

In a statement given by the FDA they warn of the dangers of distributing and administering substances which have not been approved or met US regulation:

“These medications may be counterfeit, contaminated, improperly stored and transported, ineffective, and/or unsafe.

“Medical practices that purchase and administer illegal and unapproved medications from foreign sources are placing patients at risk.”

It is not the first time that skin doctor has received a bad press – his bankruptcy has been reported on and what’s more he was discovered auctioning off celebrities used medical supplies.
