Britney Spears reveals her cosmetic work
She was the teenage pop starlet with that extra sparkle when she burst on to our TV screens wearing a provocative-cum-innocent school girl’s outfit and singing about being ‘hit’ one more time.
During the 90s Britney was arguably the world’s most popular sweetheart, with extra-pretty yet girl next door looks and a sugary-sweet voice to match.
And despite enduring a somewhat rockier adult life than her charmed younger years, with custody battles and public outbursts, including the infamous head shaving incident, she has nonetheless (for the most part) retained her youthful good looks.
Now, for the first time, the singer has opened up about the cosmetic treatments she receives that help to maintain her glow. She told American glossy mag InStyle that she regularly sees Beverly Hills based Dr Raj Kanodia, who is well known for treating many of LA’s most high-profile stars.
Britney told the magazine that she visits Dr Kanodia regularly for upkeep, describing her aesthetic adventures in appropriately youthful terms: “he does fun stuff to me sometimes”.
Dr Kanodia has treated a veritable Who’s Who of Hollywood’s stars at his clinic, including Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Ashlee Simpson. The doctor is well-liked by those in the public eye for his subtle approach, believing in providing discreet alterations that allow celebs to look refreshed and ‘rested’ whilst avoiding the pressure of constant media speculation over what work – if any – they’ve had done.
Amongst the aesthetic treatments that Britney has admitted to undertaking are lip filler injections; indeed it seems she has stuck to purely non-invasive procedures for now as she makes no reference to any surgical treatments.
Having recently released her eighth studio album, the eponymous ‘Britney Jean’ (which unfortunately for Britney has failed to set the charts alight), the star has now embarked upon a gruelling 2-year residency in Las Vegas.
