Anne Hathaway “refused Botox injections” at 23
Hollywood star Anne Hathaway has revealed that she was told she needed Botox injections at 23 – but refused.
The actress is known for her expressive face, but it seems Hollywood had other ideas.
A well-meaning exec told her she should use Botox to halt the development of wrinkles.
However, strong-willed Anne wasn’t willing to be dictated to by the Hollywood machine…
Knowing full well that 23 was far too young to be having Botox injections, she says that when encouraged to undergo treatment, she replied “Can we maybe discuss heavy creams first?”.
Good for you Anne!
While Botox injections are a fantastic treatment for softening wrinkles and lines, it’s usually recommended for people in their mid-thirties onwards. And it’s used when lines have already begun to form, not as a preventative measure.
The best preventative measures at this age are the usual suspects we all know about but many of us neglect.
- Using high SPF sun protection every day.
- Avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol.
- And keeping the skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water and moisturising regularly.
Though the age of people seeking Botox injections is falling all the time, 23 is surely a little too young by anyone’s standards.
